I have a black & white hi-con matte that I've pulled from a short live action clip of water ripples. I want to color the black areas
How does one replace the black areas of a hi-con matte with a chosen color?

That looks great D.T.!
I've been looking for footage of water ripples and came up with something that doesn't look as good as yours.
Could I possibly use yours? Or could you steer me to where I can find it?

Svengali, the process you laid out worked like a charm.
Thank you!

Pulling a hi-con matte from live action?
I have a 4 second live action clip of ripple reflections on water that I'm considering rotoscoping, but would love another solution. Is there a way to take this live action clip into TVPaint and pull difference mattes of the frames, so that I end up with a hi-con matte of the ripples? Can TVPaint do...

Re: Window stuck under application frame
Unfortunately, while trying a number of different things to fix the problem, somewhere in the process I noticed the interface had un-stuck itself. The problem now is that I don't know what fixed it. If this happens again, I will try the solution you've described with the Alt key and see if that does...

Shortcut for adding 1 instance BEFORE current frame?
From looking back at the release notes for version 11.0.3, it looks as though there should be a command for adding 1 instance before the current frame. But in looking through the keyboard shortcuts for the Handy Custom Panel, all I am finding is a command for adding 1 instance AFTER the current fram...

Re: Window stuck under application frame
I'm having a somewhat similar issue right now. I'm on a Mac and a Cintiq. The TVP interface is locked to the top of the Cintiq screen and I can't access the green dot to minimize the screen or be able to move it. I can slide it along the top edge of the Cintiq and then along the tope edge of my iMac...

Re: Bird Karma, new short by Dreamworks
I'm confused as to what TVP was used for in the production. "Despite the handmade look, the film is produced digitally, with the backgrounds painted on paper and then scanned into Adobe Photoshop. TVPaint was used for the animation, and Adobe After Effects for the rest". Can someone clarify?

Re: Need Help with how to set up a modifier
Thanks Paul!
I knew that you would have the answer to this but didn't want to bug you with it while you're recovering.
I'll sit tight & relax until you're ready to take on my dumb questions once again.

Re: Need Help with how to set up a modifier
You're probably right Slowtiger. What I'm afraid I need is someone who is using the Shuttle Pro with TVP who can explain to me step-by-step how to set up the jog wheel to do 2 different functions. I'd seen an old post from Neonnoodle regarding the Shuttle Pro and sent him a private message. Unfortun...

Need Help with how to set up a modifier
Can anyone help me with this? It has me pulling what hair I have left out of my head. I'm trying to program the jog wheel of a Shuttle Pro to perform 2 different functions (rotate and zoom). To do this, I need to set up one of them with a modifier button, correct? How do I set up that modifier butto...

TVP and Shuttle Pro V2 "modifiers"?
I'm having a difficult time understanding how to program the jog wheel of a Shuttle Pro to perform 2 different functions in TVPaint. I understand that I need to use a "modifier" to do this? I'm on a Mac and I have the jog wheel set up to rotate the project area. Can anyone tell me how to s...
